Our LPS school lunch won Terrific Tray of the Month for March from @massachusettsdese and @MassFarmtoSchool.

Please consider going to this link to place your vote for Lenox Public School by May 8th. http://bit.ly/2026_ttoftheyear
Our March winner was Tacos with flavorful, local upgrades. Students enjoyed fish tacos topped with a tangy maple citrus slaw (a vibrant combination proudly featuring local ingredients, including cabbage from David Mokrzecki Farm in Hadley, Mass, and maple syrup from Ioka Valley Farm in Hancock, Mass) The fresh cilantro and a mix of salad greens were grown by our own students and staff using our in-house Fork Farm hydroponic system (originally purchased through a Massachusetts FRESH grant in 2024!).
The tacos were finished with a house-made garlic lime sriracha mayo for the perfect kick. The tray also features black beans and corn, a crisp local apple from Pine Hill Orchards in Colrain, Mass, and a side salad which also included locally grown greens from Little Leaf Farms in Devens, Mass, garnished with purple daikon radish from MX Morningstar Farm in Hudson, NY, All served alongside 1% Hood milk from Crescent Creamery in Pittsfield, Mass.
