For everyone who was disappointed that our participation in this morning's International Walk to School Day was rained out, do not despair; the Ruby Bridges Walk will take place on Friday, November 14th.
The Tri-Town Health Department is looking for paid participants between the ages of 16-20 years old to participate in their Tobacco Awareness Program in monitoring compliance among area tobacco retailers throughout Berkshire County with tobacco control regulations prohibiting the sale of tobacco products to minors.

The students are definitely recognizing the difference in the nutrition and deliciousness of the fresher, locally sourced food options on the menu at both cafeterias.

International Walk to School Day is on Wednesday, October 8th. Morris will once again be participating in collaboration with Massachusetts Safe Routes to School.
We will meet at Lilac Park at 8am and walk to the Morris School together.

Let Me Run held a lively practice with the 3rd–5th grade boys at Morris, made extra special by the seniors from the LMMHS Varsity Boys’ Cross Country team who joined in. The younger boys lit up at the chance to run alongside the older athletes, kicking things off with a mile in small groups to get to know each other. The seniors then led drills that turned into spirited, good-natured competitions, before everyone wrapped up with group stretches and a round of fun facts.
Let Me Run is a national program that combines running with lessons on teamwork, character, and confidence, with each season culminating in a 5K race.
A big thank-you to Coach Al Najimy for helping to make this collaboration possible, and to Ivan, Ben, Jackson, Owen, Connor, and Chase. Your leadership, energy, and sportsmanship made a lasting impression on the younger boys and turned an ordinary practice into a memorable one.

The field trip included time spent in whole and small groups talking about what kindness looks like in action, considering the resistance to kindness initiatives and how to meet them, brainstorming, and planning projects to kick off their efforts to positively impact school culture and student relationships.

In celebration of Banned Books Week (October 5-11), the Lenox Library will host a “Banned Bookathon” on Wednesday, October 8 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The Library is inviting friends and community members to sign up for a 15-minute time slot to read from their favorite banned book.
