At the end of April, Lenox hosted the final monthly meet of the Berkshire County Quiz League. Seven schools from throughout the county competed this school year – Monument, Lee, Lenox, Pittsfield, Taconic, Wahconah and BArT. Over the school year, Lenox won 17 of its 21 matches – an impressive accomplishment – second place was distant.
Many students from throughout the high school competed this season – far too many to recognize herein. I’ve also cc’d the president (Paige Looney) and vice president (Daniel Munch) for this year’s club who will share this e-mail with the rest of the team. Paige and Danny were responsible for selecting the make-up for each of the 21 matches we competed in.
Their dedication and that of the members of Lenox Quiz Team was another reason for our success. It’s been a great year for Lenox and our quiz team – and there’s still more to go… Our quarterfinal appearance on As Schools Match Wits will air on May 25th. There is the all important Students versus Teachers event on May 29th after school in the LMMHS library, and, of course, our first appearance in a national competition in Washington, D.C. on May 31st – June 2nd.
