On May 8th, the Save A Life Tour came to LMMHS and talked with all juniors and seniors about the dangers of driving distracted and under the influence. Special thanks to the sponsors of the event: Berkshire United Way, Walmart, Lee Bank, Adams Bank, Canyon Ranch and Kimball Farms. Students watched a presentation and then followed up in small groups using the driving simulators showing the difficulty of driving while texting or under the influence of a substance.
Haddad Motors also joined us for the day and gave students lessons on changing a tire, jump starting a car, checking fluids and answered questions they might have on car maintenance. The pledge below was signed by participants who said they would not drive while texting or under the influence. Students also received a cell phone wallet or pop socket (designed by freshman Peter Far) if they signed the pledge.
