LMMHS Mock Election Results

LMMHS held a mock election on Monday, 11/7 to see how our results matched up with the State and Country. You can read all about the State and National results in the paper or on-line. Check in with your student to see how they voted and talk about why. Here are the results from LMMHS:

Voter Turn Out:

Staff: Grade 12: 33.8% voted, Grade 11: 42.6% voted, Grade 10: 50% voted, Grade 9: 63.8% voted, Grade 8: 46% voted, Graded 7: 57% voted , Grade 6: 85% voted, 26% voted

National Average in 2012: 57.5%

High School Results:

President: Clinton – 54.2%, Trump- 12.7%, Johnson – 12%, Stein – 10.6%, Other – 10.6%

US Rep: Neal – 64.56%, Maycock: 26.77%, Simmons – 8.66%

MA State Senator: Hinds – 82.8%, Canning – 17.2%

Q1: Expanding slot machine gaming:     Yes – 41.6%, No – 58.4%

Q2: Charter School expansion:      Yes – 14.4%, No – 85.6%

Q3: Conditions for farm animals:      Yes – 83.7%, No – 16.3%

Q4: Legalization, regulation and taxation of marijuana:      Yes – 72.1%, No – 27.9%

Middle School Results:

President: Clinton – 69%, Trump- 19%, Johnson – 4%, Stein – 6%

US Rep: Neal – 63.7%, Maycock- 22.5%, Simmons – 13.7%

MA State Senator: Hinds – 75%, Canning –  25%

Q1: Expanding slot machine gaming:      Yes – 29.5%, No – 70.5%

Q2: Charter School expansion:      Yes – 30.89%, No – 69.11%

Q3: Conditions for farm animals:      Yes – 73%, No – 27%

Q4: Legalization, regulation and taxation of marijuana:      Yes – 44%, No – 56%
