Congratulations to the following spring athletes that have been placed on All Western MA Team Rosters as voted by the sports writers that contribute to masslive.com. I am very proud and admire the work of our student athletes and coaches that have worked to achieve a high level of play in all our sports. All-Western Mass. Girls Outdoor Track and Field

FIRST TEAM

Shannon Meisberger, Lenox — Junior was one of the top hurdles in the region, taking second overall in the 300 hurdles at New England’s with a time of 44.85 seconds. Finished second in the 400 hurdles at All-States (1:04.08) while winning both the 100 hurdles (15.37 seconds) and 400 hurdles (1:04.80) at the Central-West D-II championships.

Maggie Sorrentino, Lenox — Freshman led the way in the 800 meter with a first-place time of 2:21.34 at the WMass D-II championships. Took third in the one mile (5:15.06) at the Central-West D-II meet. Placed 20th overall in the one mile at All-States with a time of 5:33.14.

Emma Jourdain, Lenox

All-Western Mass. Division IV baseball: Lenox earns four first-team selections

Patrick Colvin, Lenox: Senior pitcher went 6-2 for the Western Mass. champs with 45 strikeouts in 51 innings. Also hit .342/.388/.380 with 27 hits, 25 runs and 11 RBIs. Will play baseball at Division III Lasell College.

 

Mike Downer, Lenox: Junior hit .328 with a .476 on-base percentage and a .469 slugging percentage. Recorded 21 hits, four doubles and a team-high 14 walks.

 

Noah Hunter, Lenox: Sophomore slashed .403/.465/.636 with a team-leading 31 hits and 23 RBIs. Tallied seven doubles, a triple and three home runs. Scored 20 runs.

 

Luke Murphy, Lenox: Junior second baseman was named the Western Mass. Division IV Tournament MVP. Hit .527/.544/.673 with 29 hits, 22 runs, 13 RBIs and three triples. Batted .500 in the postseason (7-for-14) with four RBIs.
