Director of Student Services

Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Director of Student Services assumes responsibility for the planning, development, coordination, and management of all Special Education programs, services, budgets and personnel and ensures compliance with state and federal regulations governing the delivery of services to students with disabilities.  The DSS is also responsible for development, implementation and evaluation of the district’s Special Education programs: development, implementation, and evaluation of programming for ELs; Section 504 plans, supervision of nurses, adjustment counselors, and Special Education teachers and staff; and serving as liaison with applicable public and private agencies.  

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree
MA DESE license as an Administrator of Special Education
Must be able to work collaboratively as part of a team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 Foreign Language Teacher

Lenox Public Schools is seeking candidates for a full-time Foreign Language teaching position, primarily Spanish (with potential for French), for grades 6-12.  Master’s degree in Spanish and near native language fluency with the ability to teach both language and literature through the AP level strongly preferred.  Experience with ACTFL proficiency guidelines, and Master’s degree in French is a major plus.

 

HOURS PER WEEK:  Full-time 

COMPENSATION:  Per Unit A Contract

These are Fall positions for grades 7 – 12. The season begins (officially for
practice) on the second Monday preceding Labor Day and will end late October to
mid-November, depending on tournament qualifications. Appointments to coaching positions are conditional on Mass. Dept. of Public Health & Lenox Board of Health rules at the time applicable to high school athletics practices & events.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to teach fundamental skills, as well as prepare the teams for competition. Must obtain a MIAA coaching certification or be a certified teacher. MIAA
certification courses are available.

LENOX COMMUNITY CENTER

65 Walker Street, Lenox

The LCC is currently seeking a part-time After School Staff Member to work on site from 2:30-5:30pm with our school age children. We are open Monday through Friday and looking for coverage 2-4 days a week. Applicant must possess a passion for children, creativity and dependability. This position would also require availability during school vacation weeks from 9-5 pm and half days noon- 5pm. Starting pay will be minimum wage. Schedule will follow the Lenox School Calendar year.
