Lenox Public Schools is currently seeking candidates for the following positions:

 

Guidance Counselor:  as a highly ranked 6-12 school with a rich history of high achieving students, Lenox Memorial High School is currently seeking a full-time, experienced Guidance Counselor for grades 10-12.  Certification as secondary level guidance counselor is required.  Extensive experience in the college planning process is expected and encouraged.  Expertise with adolescents and families preferred.  Candidate must have strong writing, communication and organizational skills.  Highly competitive salary offered. Application review begins immediately and continues until position is filled.

 

Part-time Science and Physical Education:  Lenox Memorial Middle & High School is also seeking two properly certified teachers to fill a one section per day assignment in the middle school science department and a one section per day assignment in the physical education department.  Application review for these two positions is immediate and ongoing until the positions are filled. 

 

Title I Learning Assistant:  a vibrant and warm elementary community, Morris Elementary School is seeking a part-time person to support and tutor elementary students in reading.  Qualifications include a minimum BA degree and experience in the support and remediation of reading difficulties, AIMSweb, DIBELS, Project Read, and/or Fundations.  Application review begins 8/25/10

 

Learning Assistant – Physical Education.  Morris School is also seeking candidates to fill a part-time learning assistant position in our Physical Education Department.  Qualified candidates will be able to support the PE Teacher with instruction two half days a week.  Application review begins 8/31/10

 

Special Education Para-Professional:  the Special Education Department is seeking a candidate to fill this part-time position at Lenox Memorial Middle & High School.  Duties include assisting special education student(s) with direct instruction, instructional modification and preparation of materials.  Qualified candidates must have a minimum high school diploma, college degree preferred and experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and developmental disabilities.  Application review begins 8/31/10

 

Junior Varsity Girls Soccer Coach:  Must have expertise in physical conditioning and soccer training to coach a variety of students ranging from grades 7 through 12.  Must be able to work with the varsity coach to establish individual goals for students as well as programmatic goals.
