The Robotics Club has qualified once again for the MA state championship tournament on March 2nd at Natick High School. They performed very well on Saturday at Hopkins Academy, finishing in 4th place (out of 24) after the preliminary rounds and were then selected by the top team to join them in the knockout rounds – They won it all qualifying them to move on to states!!
The team also won the “Design” award, described below:
Design Award: This judged award recognizes design elements of the robot that are both functional and aesthetic. The Design Award is presented to teams that incorporate industrial design elements into their solution. These design elements could simplify the robot’s appearance by giving it a clean look, be decorative in nature, or otherwise express the creativity of the team. The winning design should not compromise the practical operation of the robot but complement its purpose.
