6th Grade Community Service

Special thanks to our 6th graders who took the time to make some other people smile just before the break. A small group of 12 students (randomly picked from the 30 that wanted to go!) went to Laurel Lake Nursing Home and performed a line dance demonstration with Ms. Burdsall and Mr. Cogswell. The entire grade also made cards for “Officer Larry” – a person who was recently diagnosed with a terminal illness and has been assisting the Pittsfield Police as their “weatherman” for years after the PPD helped him. The cards were a special request by the PPD as Christmas is “Officer Larry’s” favorite Holiday and this would most likely be his last.

Thank you to all of the students and their willingness to help out and make a difference in other people’s lives!!
