Athletics: Girls’ Soccer is at Wahconah for a 4 p.m. start

Girls’ Volleyball is at Wahconah for a 5 p.m. start

and Cross Country Running will be at Monument with a 4:30 p.m. start.




Attention Alternative PE students: - The first alternative PE trip is next Thursday, October 2nd. We’ll be hiking Mt. Greylock, so wear appropriate clothing and shoes and bring a bagged lunch. Please turn in your permission slip to Ms. Teasdale as soon as possible.




Biomedical Science Career Program – “Skills Workshops for Seniors, juniors and sophomores” will take place on Saturday, November 15th from 8 – 4:30 at the Harvard Medical School in Boston.  Early submission of applications is recommended.  Please see Mrs. Omelenchuck in guidance if interested in applying. 


Junior Prom Meeting – The first prom meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 7th at 2:30 p.m. in cafeteria.  We will be discussing possible dates and locations. 


SAT ACT Testing Dates-   The first test for SAT will be October 11th.  Registration deadline is September 12th.  Please register on line at www.sat.org/register.  The first test for ACT will be October 25th with a registration deadline of September 19th.  www.actstudent.org/start.  A complete listing of testing dates for both exams is posted outside the Guidance Offices and in the high school wing, second floor.    


Seniors -   Colleges/Universities are beginning to book visits to our school for interested students.  Please register for the college/university you are interested in with Mrs. Omelenchuck so room accommodations are met.  Please check in with your regular scheduled class before coming to guidance. Students will not be called down.

Seniors – Berkshire Community College will be in Guidance on Tuesday, October 21st from 9 – 1 p.m.

for Instant Admission Day.  Any senior who is planning on applying to BCC, should come to guidance and book an appointment to meet with the representative. 








Senior Scholarships – Big Y has arrived.  Their scholarship is awarded to the most academically outstanding students in Western Ma. Big Y customers/dependents and Big Y employees/dependents are eligible. Dependents of Law Enforcement Officers/Firefighters and Military Service Members are all eligible for additional Big Y Scholarships.
