Evergreen Club – Open to all students – will meet on Monday from 2:30 – 3:15 in room 16.  Please see Ms. Marks or Ms. Leger with any questions.




9th Grade Student Council – The Student Council is in need of 1 more member to represent the class.  If any student is interested, please see Mr. Cogswell. Nomination papers will be available in the main office beginning Tuesday, September 23rd.  If an election is needed it will be held on Monday September 29th during lunches.


Attention all high school students – If you are interested in doing Community Service please see Ms. Romeo.  Many opportunities are available locally.


Attention Junior and Seniors – any student interested in doing an internship during or after school hours, please schedule an appointment with Ms. Romeo.


Fall Festival of Shakespeare – Auditions will take place on Monday, September 22 and Tuesday, September 23.  There will be two sessions each day, 2:45 – 5:00 and 6:00 – 8:00.  If necessary, call backs will take place on Wednesday, September 24th, 2:45 – 5:00.  Any questions, see Ms. Navarino in the Main Office.


SAT ACT Testing Dates-   The first test for SAT will be October 11th.  Registration deadline is September 12th.  Please register on line at www.sat.org/register.  The first test for ACT will be October 25th with a registration deadline of September 19th.  www.actstudent.org/start.  A complete listing of testing dates for both exams is posted outside the Guidance Offices and in the high school wing, second floor.    


Seniors – Please stop by Ms. Wespiser’s room to sign up for the Apple Squeeze.


Seniors -   Colleges/Universities are beginning to book visits to our school for interested students.  Please register for the college/university you are interested in with Mrs. Omelenchuck so room accommodations are met.  Please check in with your regular scheduled class before coming to guidance. Students will not be called down.

Senior Scholarships – Big Y has arrived.  Their scholarship is awarded to the most academically outstanding students in Western Ma. Big Y customers/dependents and Big Y employees/dependents are eligible. Dependents of Law Enforcement Officers/Firefighters and Military Service Members are all eligible for additional Big Y Scholarships.   


Sophomores – The deadline for any sophomore interested in taking the PSAT exam is September 24th.  Testing materials are only ordered for those who pre-register and pre pay in guidance with Mrs. Omelenchuck. This is separate from the course being offered and a separate check for each is asked.  The cost to sophomores for the actual exam is $14.00.  Checks can be made payable to Lenox PSAT.  Please note: This PSAT exam will not reflect the changes made in the new revised SAT being administered to the sophomore class beginning in 2016.  Date of exam is Wednesday morning (8 – 11) on October 15th.




ASAP (After School Activity Program) – Open to all middle school students.  Come join for a variety of activities: Board games, cards, Uno, Kickball, charades, etc. ASAP is a place to come to meet other kids, make new friends and just have FUN!!!  First meeting is Thursday, September 25th at 2:30 in Mrs. Grimes’ Office. 


Middle School Elections –Elections will be held during lunches today.  Results will be announced during morning announcements tomorrow.


Middle School Student Council Elections – will begin on Tuesday, September 23rd when students can obtain nomination papers in the main office.  Nomination papers are to be turned in to the main office on Friday, September 26 at 2:30 p.m.  Posters may be hung beginning on Tuesday the 23rd after Mr. Cogswell approves them.  Elections will be held during lunches on Monday, September 29th. 


MS Art Club – will meet every Wednesday in room 16 from 2:30 – 3:15 (beginning September 17).


MS Chess Club – will meet every Monday in room 10 from 2:30-3:15. This is open to all Middle School students.


MS French Club – Thursday, September 25 at 2:30 in room 37.


Dance – There will be a Middle School Dance on Friday, September 26th from 6:30 – 8:30 in the cafeteria.  Admission for 7th and 8th grade students will be $5.00 and all 6th grade students will be free. 







ASAP – Thursdays 2:30 – 3:15 p.m.- Ms. Grimes’ Office.  Open to all MS students

Evergreen Club meets Mondays in the cafeteria at 2:30 p.m. Open to all students.

HS Chorus - Every Thursday 7:00 a.m.  Music Room.

MS Art Club – Wednesdays in room 16 from 2:30 – 3:15
