Parent Teacher Conferences are now being booked.  The conferences are being held Thursday evening, November 20th and Friday day, November 21st.  Appointments are booked individually and are 10 minutes in length per teacher.  Please email bomelenchuck@lenoxps.org with your requests.

Athletics – winter sport sign ups begins October 27th.  Table will be outside the Athletic Directors Office. 

 

Class of 2019 – is selling fudge for the Thanksgiving Holiday. If you are interested in making a purchase, please contact an 8th grader to place an order before the November 5th deadline.

 

Evergreen Club will meet at 2:30 in Library on Monday to write a grant for spring planting.  The club is open to MS and HS students. 

 

Hockey - Interested in being part of an exciting and growing HIGH SCHOOL HOCKEY Program?   Monument Mountain along with Lee and Lenox High Schools co-op with the Mt. Everett High School Hockey Team.  Last year’s EAGLES team made huge strides forward and bigger and better is the goal this year. If you are interested contact the Mount Everett coach, Aidan Gilligan, directly @ aidangilligan@gmail.com.  GO EAGLES HOCKEY!!

 

Lenox Loop Road Race, November 1stThe race will be held on Saturday, November 1st at 10:00 a.m. – It is a 3.5 mile loop that begins and ends at the school.  The Lenox Loop is sponsored by the Lenox Cross country Team and the Lenox Dale Fire Company.  Entry forms are available in the main office. Questions? See Coach Teasdale. T-shirts to the first 50 pre-registered participants! Sign up today!

 

“Your words, your design”..  One poster to promote teen safety at work.  All students ages 14 – 19 are invited to enter the contest.  # 1 Be creative…..What do you picture when you think of a good, safe job for young workers? What can teens do to make a difference? (e.g. recognize hazards, get training, know their rights) # 2 Develop a slogan…What kind of message will reach your peers? In any language, come up with a phrase about why good teen jobs are safe and healthy ones. # 3 Design your poster.  Cash prizes….more information in guidance.

 

“Six seconds, one video”... Think of an Idea – Create your Vine – Post your Vine – Mail in your entry form – 1st place $100.00 and all finalists will receive certificates of recognition and be invited to an Awards Ceremony at the Massachusetts State House.  Deadline December 8th for both.  More info in guidance.

Senior Scholarships – Big Y has arrived, applications are in guidance.

 

STEM Career Fair – for students in grades 10 – 12, will be held on Friday, November 21st in the SBA Lounge & Cafeteria at Berkshire Community College from 8:30 – 10:30 or 10 – 12:00 p.m.  The fair will showcase career opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics.  Limited spacing per school, interested students will need to register in guidance.  

 

YouTube Burn Awareness Video Contest – for students 9 – 12 – Video should explore burn prevention topics and be 1 -3 minutes long.  Video should be both educational and informational.  Deadline December 23rd.  More information in guidance.
