FACULTY, STAFF AND STUDENTS

 

ATTENTION 7TH THROUGH 10TH GRADE STUDENTS – MASS AUDUBON – is looking for volunteers to help with their summer programs.  GREAT opportunity to earn Community Service Credit and spend time outdoors working with younger children. Must make either a week or two week commitment. Please see Mrs. Spoehr for more information and an application. 

 

NHS TUTORS – are available after school and during school hours. To request a tutor, please fill out the tutor request form in guidance.

 

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

 

ALL STUDENTS  - BCC and MCLA are offering a free college course. If you are interested in enrolling for summer or fall please see your guidance Counselor.

 

ATTENTION 10 – 12TH  GRADE STUDENTS– VHS, virtual high school, is offered here at Lenox. Students can choose from hundreds of online courses, including honors and AP level, to earn academic credit. If you are interested in taking an online course next year, as part of your daily schedule, please see Ms. Romeo in Guidance.

 

JUNIORS – This is a reminder to please submit your application if you are interested in doing an Internship next year. Applications are available in guidance. See Ms. Romeo with questions.

 

MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS

 

Attention All Middle School Students: The Middle School Yearbook is going on sale beginning Monday, April 30th.  This year it will include: sports, activities, etc.  We also have the old stuff such as: superlatives, biographies, and autographs. If you purchase it before June 4th, the cost will be $11.00 each. After June 4th, the cost will increase to $13.00 each. So get your order in as soon as possible to take advantage of this discount. All order forms and money are to be handed in your homeroom teacher. If you are paying by check, please make them out to: Middle School Yearbook--Class of 2016. Please contact Mrs. Barber at (abarber@lenoxps.org) or stop in to room 11, if you have any questions.

 

MID SCHOOL STUDENT COUNCIL IS SPONSORING A MID SCHOOL TALENT SHOW….MAY 17TH in the Duffin Theater.   Sign up in the main office on what you would like to perform…Do you like to sing?  Do you like to dance?  Do you have a band?  The admission will be $5.00 with a dollar off if you bring in a can for the local food pantry.  Any questions please see Ms. Navarino. 

 

                                                                                                                                

 

 

 

                    

 

          

  

 

FOR ALL MS AND HS STUDENTS

 

*              CELL PHONE USE IS NOT PERMITTED DURING THE SCHOOL DAY WHICH MEANS CELL PHONES MUST BE TURNED OFF AND OUT OF SIGHT.

*              STUDENTS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO USE THE VIDEO COMPONENT OF A VIDEO PHONE IN THE SCHOOL BUILDING AT ANY TIME.

*              HEADPHONES ARE NOT TO BE WORN DURING SCHOOL HOURS AND ARE TO BE KEPT OUT OF SIGHT.

*              OPEN CONTANIERS ARE PROHIBITED IN HALLWAYS.

*              DETENTIONS – WILL BE HELD IN THE SSC ROOM

*              DIRECTED STUDY – WILL BE HELD TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS FROM 12:30 – 4:30 P.M.  

*              LOCKERS ARE SCHOOL PROPERTY AND ARE SUBJECT TO SEARCH BY SCHOOL OFFICIALS.

*              ALL STUDENTS ARE REMINDED THAT THEY SHOULD STAY OFF THE ROCK WALL IN THE FRONT OF THE BUILDING AND OFF THE LAWN ABOVE IT AT ALL TIMES.

*              SKATEBOARDING IS NOT ALLOWED ON SCHOOL PROPERTY AT ANY TIME. SKATEBOARDSMUST BE ENCLOSED IN A CASE FOR TRANSPORTATION ON THE BUS.

*              THROWING OF SNOWBALLS IS NOT ALLOWED ON SCHOOL GROUNDS AT ANY TIME FOR ANY REASON.

*              STUDENTS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE FACULTY/STAFF DINING ROOM AT ANY TIME FOR ANY REASON. THIS INCLUDES BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER SCHOOL. THE SODA MACHINE IS OFF LIMITS!

*              FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS: BOOK BAGS ARE TO BE KEPT OUT OF THE HALLWAYS AT ALL TIMES. PLEAE KEEP YOUR BOOK BAGS AND OTHER BELONGINGS IN YOUR CLASSROOM OR LOCKER. DURING LUNCH, BAGS SHOULD BE LEFT AT YOUR SEAT BEFORE YOU GET YOUR MEAL.

*              DO NOT BRING VALUABLES TO SCHOOL – DO NOT PLACE THEM IN YOUR LOCKER. IF YOU MUST BRING VALUABLES OR MONEY TO SCHOOL, BE SURE TO CHECK THEM IN WITH THE MAIN OFFICE.

 

MEETINGS:

ASAP – Middle School Students -Thursdays 2:30 – 3:15 in Mrs. Grimes’ Office.

Games Workshop Club- Middle School Students – Thursdays – room 13 – 2:30 – 3:15. 

Glee Club – Mondays/Thursdays – rm 38 @ 2:30 p.m.

Knitting Club – Fridays, room 37 – during 3rd lunch.     

Middle School Chorus – meets every Wednesday 7:00 a.m. in the Music Room.

Middle School Yearbook Committee – If you can make it either on Monday or Tuesday, Room 11 from 2:30 – 3:15.

National Art Honor Society – rm. 15 every other Thursday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. beginning October 13th.

SAVE – will be meeting in room 5.
