Mission of the School Committee

 

The mission of the Lenox School Committee is to provide the means to achieve the district's objectives, and to ensure that those objectives best meet the comprehensive

needs of all constituents.  This will be accomplished by

 

- setting, recommending and/or reviewing goals which implement the district’s

objectives, and to perform the necessary strategic planning, set the appropriate policies, and require accountability for reaching those goals;

 

- establishing a fiscally responsible budget which maintains and improves the

district according to its objectives, and to oversee its execution;

 

- advocating for district goals and priorities through communication

with students, faculty and staff, parents, community members, businesses, and public officials.
