Community Awareness – Covid update

Dear Lenox students and families,

I received the following email from the Executive Director of Communications, Planning, and Development at Berkshire Health Systems, Inc. and the Berkshire Vaccine Collaborative.

“Please remember that we need to remain vigilant to stop the spread of COVID-19. Case numbers are rising in our community—please continue to mask, wash hands, social distance, and avoid large group gatherings.  If you have any kinds of symptoms, please don’t wait to get tested. Testing is free and easy at three locations throughout the Berkshires. The sooner public health officials learn about positive cases, the sooner they can advise treatment and quarantine to stop the spread.  Learn more about testing. “

Once again our community is asking for our assistance in stopping the spread of Covid-19 in our communities. It has been wonderful to see more students becoming active, sports teams practicing and the weather in the Berkshires getting warmer. Let’s continue to enjoy this beautiful place we call home, but also continue to be vigilant regarding our health and safety, and the health and safety of others. TOGETHER, we can do this, please help keep our students, faculty and families safe.

Continue to sanitize your hands frequently, wear a face mask when in public or around those who are vulnerable, continue to maintain physical distancing and small groups where appropriate, and most of all, monitor yourself and your family members daily for symptoms of Covid-19, stay home if your sick and get tested if appropriate.

Thank you for all that you’ve done, and for all that you continue to do, to help stop that spread of the virus.
