This is William Cameron, Superintendent of the Lenox Public Schools. In addition to this voice message, you will receive a written copy by e-mail. The text of this message will also appear on the Lenox Public Schools’ website, as well as on the Morris and LMMHS websites.
The administrators and teachers of the Lenox Public Schools are currently planning for the resumption of instruction on what we expect to be August 27. To do this adequately, and to plan also for several contingencies, we need your help. We need to ensure that we’re working with up-to-date information.
Toward that end we are sending a brief parental survey by e-mail to each Lenox Public Schools student’s household. (If you have more than one child in the Lenox Public Schools then you need to complete only one survey.) We are seeking information about whether you intend to send your child or children back to school if school-based instruction resumes in August; whether your child or children will need Lenox Public Schools transportation to get to and from school; and whether, with your child or children back in school, they will eat meals prepared daily at school. We also ask two questions about the Internet speed in your home. Each of these technical questions can be answered by a link that will give you the information you need in order to respond.
I sincerely hope that you will help us prepare for whatever is coming in late August and thereafter by answering these few questions and submitting your answers promptly as indicated.
Thanks for your help. Stay well, enjoy the summer weather, and please ensure that you take the appropriate measures – frequent hand washing or sanitizing; maintaining social distancing; wearing masks in public places; and avoiding large groups of people – in order to minimize your and others’ exposure to the novel coronavirus.
