Greetings from the Lenox Public Schools!
My name is Timothy Lee. I have worked in the Lenox schools since 2008, six years as principal of Morris Elementary and a year and a half as district superintendent.
I’d like to welcome you to our recently re-built website. Much of the content that you’ll see here has been updated and re-organized for the benefit of the reader. We had a lot of help on this project including coordination from Mike Jackson, our Technology Director and Denise Jezak, Technology Teacher at Morris. Carolann Patterson, a Morris parent and public relations professional, provided invaluable support in giving the site modern appeal and an easy-to-follow format. LMMHS and Morris Art Faculty Lesliejohn Roche, Karen Romeo-Leger, Debby Kain and some talented senior photo students helped to compile the compelling images of our students and teachers in action.
Why a new website? Over the past 2 years, our school committee and a group of committed community members have been engaged in the creation of a strategic plan for our school district. The Plan has five main areas of focus and the theme of communication runs throughout. The new website is intended to communicate our values, mission, and goals, and it is hoped that the site will help bring greater transparency to school operations, annual budgets, and long-term fiscal planning. Our new web presence is also aimed at recognizing the achievements of our students and staff to inform townspeople of the value of their support. We also hope to tell the story of a successful school system to prospective students and families.
For current families, we hope our new website will readily communicate those important day to day details that keep you connected to the school. As you explore the various links, you’ll find school lunch menus, event calendars, employment postings, access to teacher/parent portal pages, information about our departments, our curriculum, and much more.
Thanks for reading the Superintendent’s blog. We’ll be looking for feedback on our new website and we’d like to hear more about your experience as a user. Comments and suggestions are welcome at email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.
